Brush Creek Ranch: Wyoming

Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming has options when it comes to group trips. Smaller groups can reserve a few of the 26 luxury log cabins at the Main Lodge, or large families can opt for a complete buyout of the nine restored cabins at the Magee Homestead, which is adult only unless booked for exclusive use. The ranch takes pride in upholding its western heritage by embracing adventure and setting the stage for good times shared together. My favorite part? Brush Creek Ranch is still a working cattle ranch.
Primland: Virginia
Set on 12,000 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Primland, Auberge Resorts Collection offers a getaway that feels both secluded and connected. For big groups, you’ll want either a suite in the Pinnacles, which are chalet-like accommodations with views of the valley, or a Fairway Cottage. Positioned along the golf course, each Fairway Cottage has a gas fireplace and mountain views. If you’re looking for something a bit more secluded, the Tree House Suites sleep up to two and set the scene for unplugging, with privacy and stellar views at an elevation of 2,700 feet.
San Ysidro Ranch: California
This Santa Barbara property has 38 bungalow-style cottages set along the San Ysidro Creek. Its star-studded history is referenced in the Kennedy Cottage, where JFK and Jackie O actually honeymooned. Each cottage is decked outwith a collection of antiques and artwork, and the property’s crown jewel is the Warner Cottage, a 6,000-square-foot villa with two primary bedrooms.
Smith Fork Ranch: Colorado
If you have a big family who loves bonding over the great outdoors, this six cabin, 19-bedroom historic, luxury guest ranch is surrounded by millions of acres of Colorado National Forest and miles of private rivers. It’s meant for one group at a time, and with their “Bespoke All-Inclusive” approach, you don’t need to worry about settling up with the in-laws come Sunday.
Edgewood Tahoe Resort, The Villa Suites: Nevada
Located just across the Nevada line near South Lake Tahoe, Edgewood Tahoe offers residences just beside its main lodge. Alpine-chic design is accentuated by heated patios with Jacuzzis, fire pits, and gorgeous mountain views. With modern kitchens and cozy dining rooms, these villas are the perfect home base for family holidays. And with options ranging from two to five bedrooms, you can keep it small or bring the extended family.
